How long does it take to bike to Omakau along the Otago Central Rail Trail?

Operators suggest that it is comfortable to estimate about 10 kilometres per hour which gives time for stopovers if you haven’t biked before.

If we stay at Nicky's Place while biking the Otago Central Rail Trail, can we store our bikes some where?

There are safe bike storage areas provided, either within each unit’s courtyard (with bike stand & covers provided) or in the general covered area alongside the e-bike charging station.

What local facilities are there?

Access to local shops, cafe and hotels are within easy walking distance (100 metres).

What leisure facilities are there locally?

Within a short walk, there is a swimming pool, Astro tennis courts, and golf course. There is also sports hire available including fishing rods and the beautiful Manuherikia River.

Do you provide breakfast?

Yes, there is a complimentary continental breakfast included in the tariff.
